Virtual worlds better for meetings than video conferencing?

A new report by Forterra Systems makes an interesting claim: Enterprise Virtual Worlds More Effective Than Web Conferencing:

One of the more interesting conclusions of the report is that virtual worlds are both more engaging and less expensive to operate than audio and web conference systems.

Now granted, Forterra isn't the most unbiased source of information for this type of report, but I've been saying this for a long time. Virtual Worlds offer a better and more effective working environment for enterprises than anything we've seen to date. The problem is getting people over the interface hurdles which are not insignificant. Once they're over the interface hurdle, however, these environments flat-out work.

Virtual worlds are getting cheaper and easier to use every day. You can run but you can't hide...
