My first machinima

I've been working on learning how to make a machinima the last couple of weeks. I have lots more I'd like to learn, but I'm going to call this first effort done. I'm going to move on to another topic.

My goal was to keep this short, and at 2:30 that goal was met. There's a lot more I can learn about audio filtering and effects. I also need to experiment with using two Second Life logins to get more variety in camera angles.

If you've got other suggestions for improvements I'd love to hear them. I suspect that making machinima will hold my interest for at least a few more weeks.

Whoa! Good job coming up so many steep learning curves so fast to deliver this entomological deus ex machinima.

Jonathon might walk better if he hit the gym and built some quads, hammies and glutes to match his upper body.

He might work better for educational purposes if he appeared as a kid (who couldn't have such beefy delts and rippling pecs). You could still use the same adult voiceover.

And as for that enormous, wearable ant? I want one!

Well, I have lots more to learn. It's kind of fun.

One's choices for store bought male skins and shapes is rather limited. I'd considered springing to have someone create a more realistic Jonathan. Your comments might spur me on to find an avatar creator.

I think it's considered rather taboo for an adult to impersonate a child on the adult grid of Second Life. I'm wondering what seedy things a person might have to go through to get a child-like avatar? Where I know you're right, I'm thinking that might be somewhere I don't want to go.

It's easy to get an ant. Just follow the clues. :)

Interesting. I can't get into Second Life myself until I get my new computer, so I don't know anything about Morrill Island and its rules.

(I actually want to wear the ant in First Life, though.)
