The come-to-me-web: educational version

Good read, well actually it's a great graphic, at the Science of the Invisible on the demise of the LMS and the emergence of the PLE

Learning management systems under fire: Course management systems can just as easily stifle learning as enable it.

It's really quite simple. The future is the PLE, and it will be impossible to deliver on this future from behind the comfort of your institutional firewall.

Right on! I agree that the walls must come down. It just won't happen with institutions. What's your employment plan b?

WWWWEEEELLLLL, I am within two years of being able to retire. Not that I am planning on it just yet, but it's nice to have options.

Hmmmm, why did the OpenID stop working? Time to look around.

Any thoughts for us poor old souls who have a few years? I personally think you have to branch outside of the institution.

Excellent. How odd that a concept so basic should seem so new... someone should really try to capitalize on this approach. There needs to be a good marriage between LCMS and PLE.
