OpenSocial and Orkut

I've been spending a ton of time reading Google's OpenSocial stuff. To say it is interesting is an understatement. Who will be the big winner? I'm thinking it's Orkut.

Google has just turned Orkut into the Internet's sandbox. They have significantly reduced the barriers to playing, and when people start going to Orkut to play, I'm guessing they will find each other and stick. Once the killer applications start to appear (next week?) it'll be just a matter of time before the people will follow.

It didn't take me five minutes of reading about OpenSocial before I'd created my Orkut account. I'm guessing I wasn't the only person. I'm wondering if I can find some stats? How many of y'all created an Orkut account in the last 24 hours?

I can't find any friends :(
I've searched for "Kevin Gamble", "k1v1n", "extension.org", "ncsu.edu", your email addresses and nothing...

How do you find a "friend"?

Well, I couldn't find you there either John. Got me?

Maybe we have to be from Brazil to show up in search? Which might account for all the Brazilian users. :)
