Where I am going tomorrow night...

I'm playing with the new Google Maps feature that allows you to embed a map in your site. Instead of just playing I thought I would place a satellite view of the NASCAR track at Bristol, Tennessee where I will be enjoying the BEST of all of the NASCAR races tomorrow night. IMO, it doesn't get any better than the short track at Bristol.

This was really easy, just a matter of cutting and pasting some code into the page. This was announced last week but I just missed it: Adding a Google Map to your blog

Google will be releasing a new feature next week that will enable people to easily embed a Google Map into their Web site or blog, just like you can do with a YouTube video. No coding or programming required; just copying and pasting a snippet of HTML, a Google spokeswoman says.
Google Maps.

To embed a Google Map, users will simply pull up the map they want to embed--it can be a location, a business, series of driving directions, or a My Map they have created--and then click 'Link to this page' and copy and paste the HTML into their Web site or blog," the spokeswoman said.

Easy as can be!

I still have an extra ticket for tomorrow night if anyone is interested in going. Now if I could just Skitch this map without ruining the interactivity I could show you where the seats are located. Trust me -- they are really really good!
