Some Second Life math for builders

If you‘re thinking about doing some building in Second Life this post contains some basic math that will save you a lot of time, and make your life much easier. Bob Sutor: Open Blog, #9. My Second Life:

In general, if the first box has center X1 with width W1 and the second has width W2, then the center X2 of the second box is either

X1 + (W1 + W2)/2

or

X1 - (W1 + W2)/2

Think about it. Ditto for the Y and Z directions.

Seems pretty simple, but good luck finding this sort of thing explained in any of the inworld tutorials. Bob has several other great Second Life instructional posts. If you‘re wanting to get up to speed quickly these posts will save you a bunch of time. Thanks Bob!
