Ross Mayfield is guest blogging for Shane Richmond. He has a nice post, Share Control to Create Value:

Many employees still seek to gain advantage by hoarding information. When most people think of game theory, they think of Prisoner‘s Dilemma, a non-zero-sum game played once where the best strategy is to defect.

But when the game is played iteratively, cooperation is the best strategy. With all the links, memory and social context of the web, life is increasingly, well, iterative.

I have a hard time understanding why so many people struggle with letting go. I don‘t get it.
